How it works
From your Gmail mailbox to an automated sequence in four steps
-
1. Connect your mailbox securely
Sign in with Google, then connect your Gmail mailbox to give secure access through the Gmail API. Emails are sent from your own address and appear in your Sent folder like any other email.
-
2. Add your recipients
Upload a CSV or add recipients manually. Use your data to personalize each email with fields like
{{first_name}}or{{company_name}}. -
3. Build your sequence
Write your first email, then add follow-ups. Set when each follow-up email should be sent and define what happens based on the recipient's behavior, such as whether they replied.
-
4. Create your campaign
Choose the sequence you want to use, select your recipients, set your sending schedule and daily sending limit, then start the campaign.
Features
Everything between the first email and the reply
Build flexible sequences, personalize every message, and define what happens next based on recipient behavior.
- Gmail integration
- Send emails directly from your Gmail mailbox and keep conversations in your existing inbox.
- Personalized emails
- Use recipient data to personalize every email with fields like
{{first_name}}and{{company_name}}. - Smart sequences
- Build multi-step email sequences with delays and conditions that determine what happens next based on recipient behavior.
- Sending controls
- Set sending hours and daily limits to control how your emails are sent.
Sequence builder
Decide what happens after every email
Each follow-up waits as long as you set, then checks what the recipient did: replied, opened or clicked. Stop the sequence when someone replies, or keep going and let your rules decide.

Sending schedule
Send emails when they're meant to be seen.
Control when your emails are sent with custom sending hours, time zones, weekdays, and daily limits. Add blackout dates for holidays, weekends, or any days you don't want emails sent.
-
Set your sending schedule: Choose the time zone, sending hours, weekdays, and daily limit for each campaign.
-
Use more than one mailbox: Connect several Gmail mailboxes and choose which mailbox sends each campaign.
-
Stay within your limits: If a campaign reaches its daily limit, remaining emails automatically wait until the next available sending day.
-
Keep track of usage: See how much of each mailbox's daily sending limit you've used.

Personalization
Write it once. Make every email personal.
Use information from your recipient list to personalize the subject and body of every email. Add a default value for missing information so no email goes out with an empty field.
-
Preview before sending: See exactly how an email will look for the first contact on your list.
-
Send a test email: Send yourself a test to make sure everything looks right before starting your campaign.

Results
See what's happening with every sequence.
Know which emails were sent, which recipients replied, and how each step in your sequence is performing. Apple Mail and some company security tools open every email automatically, before a person reads it. This makes open rates look better than they are. convamail counts only opens that look like a real person, and puts replies at the top of every report.
-
Understand your sequences: See how many recipients reached each step and how many replied.
-
Export your results: Download your data as a CSV whenever you need it.

The details
The boring but important parts, done for you
- Addresses that bounce get no more emails
- An email bounces when it can't be delivered. When an address doesn't exist, convamail stops sending to it.
- One-click unsubscribe
- Enable one-click unsubscribe for your emails. When someone opts out, convamail keeps them out of future sends.
- No double sends
- If Gmail times out in the middle of a send, convamail checks your Sent folder for that exact message before trying again.
- Duplicate check
- See which recipients are included in more than one campaign, so you can remove duplicates before they receive overlapping sequences.
- Pausing keeps everyone's place
- Pause a campaign and every recipient stays on their current step. When you resume, they continue from where they left off.
- We read headers, not your emails
- To notice replies and bounces, convamail reads message headers, such as the sender, the recipients and the subject. It never reads the text of the emails in your mailbox.

FAQ
Before you connect Gmail
Is convamail a tool for mass marketing or cold outreach?
convamail is for email to people who expect to hear from you, such as your customers. It is not for mass marketing or cold outreach: our Terms don't allow spam (unsolicited commercial email), cold emails to people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or emails to bought, rented or scraped lists.
How does convamail access my mailbox?
convamail uses the Gmail API to send your emails and to notice replies and bounces. For that, it reads only message headers, such as the sender, the recipients and the subject. It never reads the text of the emails in your mailbox.
Do the emails come from my own address?
Yes. convamail sends emails through the Gmail API from the Gmail mailbox you connect. Emails come from your own address and appear in your Sent folder. Replies continue to arrive in your inbox as usual.
What happens when someone replies?
You decide what happens next when you build your sequence. You can configure the sequence to stop, continue, or follow the rules you've set when a recipient replies.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Yes. convamail works with both personal Gmail accounts and Google Workspace accounts.
Can I try convamail before paying?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to start the trial, and nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the card is charged for the plan, unless you cancel before then. The team's owner can cancel at any time on the Billing page. You get one free trial, not one for each team. Payments aren't refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The team's owner can cancel at any time on the Billing page. The plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and then it doesn't renew. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing. Payments aren't refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
